It's infrared. I used a Hoya R72 filter. On the D200, IR sensitivity is low. I used it to my benefit, which means taking a super long exposure shot. You can theoretically do the same with an ND filter (though the sky won't be as dark and the leaves wouldn't pop as much).

It's underexposed with high contrast and heavy vignette to get the moody look.

I would have never guessed the IR part, because it's B&W. Very good shot.
